Never Have I Ever…read a later book in a series before reading the first book

Hmmm….maybe with a series of standalones, unintentionally. Not on purpose in a series where the order matters. At least not that I can remember…

Never Have I Ever…burned a book

OF COURSE NOT! That just seems really extreme. If I don’t like a book, I’ll just donate it. Jeez.

Never Have I Ever…read a book I knew I would hate

Hmmm. It depends on when I figured out I would hate it. I’ve never picked out a book that I knew I would hate. But I’ve read the first chapter or two and figured out I would hate it, but still persevered through. Does that count?

Never Have I Ever…wrote a fanfiction about my favourite books

No. But I’ve had been extremely tempted. Definitely some daydream fanfiction happening in my head.

Never Have I Ever…loved a book when I was young, yet hated it when I got older

Hmm. I don’t think so, if only for sentimental attachment. I really love my childhood faves. They’re like old friends. 🙂

Never Have I Ever…dressed up as one of my favorite literary characters

Ha. No. I’m not a big costume person.

Never Have I Ever…hated a book by an author I love

Well, I’m not sure I would use the word love in regards to A.G. Howard, but I did really enjoy her Splintered series and Stain standalone before I read RoseBlood, which I really didn’t like.

Never Have I Ever…gone into a bookstore to buy one book and come out with many more

Well, yeah. Haven’t all booklovers? Bookstores are irresistible. 😀

Never Have I Ever…read the ending of a book before reading the beginning

Yeah…I’ve done that. Sometimes I’m unsure if a book is worth reading, and I check out the ending first. I CANNOT handle sad endings, okay? Quit judging me.

Never Have I Ever…read a book without the dust cover

Not purposely, I don’t think. If it comes with a dust cover, I read it with the dust cover on.

Never Have I Ever…skim read nearly half a book

Yeah. Sometimes I think a book isn’t worth reading thoroughly or my self control just crumbles. It’s 50/50 really.

Never Have I Ever….pretended to have read a book that I haven’t

I don’t think so….why would I do that?

Never Have I Ever….saw the movie before the book

Yes. Harry Potter and Twilight are good examples.

Never Have I Ever….read a book someone else is reading by peeking in their copy

Ummmm, I don’t think so, lol.

Addition: Never Have I Ever…laughed out loud in public while reading

Yeah…surely I’m not the only one who’s done this? I get weird looks, but I ignore them.

This was such a fun one! Thanks again, Tiction! Since it looks like this one has been around a little while, I’m going to leave my tags open-ended. If you haven’t been tagged and you want to do this one, go for it! Please comment with a link or tag me so I can see your answers!

Thanks for bearing with me and happy reading!

  1. Haha high five, I have laughed out loud many a times in public while reading… once I even had to sniffle tears in school and that was quite embarrassing!
