My Top 10 Non-Bookish Hobbies

Hey guys! Happy TTT! Can you believe it’s November? Craziness. I hope you are all doing well! Just in case you don’t know, Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl, who you should totally check out. This week’s theme is non-book related hobbies. Here are my top ten:

  1. Makeup

Yes, I love makeup. I have about 30 eyeshadow palettes, which I think is perfectly reasonable. Plus, lipstick. Who doesn’t love lipstick? There is something just so classic and girly about lipstick.

2. K-dramas

I know this used to be a weird thing, but they have steadily grown in popularity, right? I love binge watching them. Boys Over Flowers, You Are Beautiful, and Coffee Prince are some of my all time favorites. And yes, I do re-watch.

3. Pop music

My sister totally judges me about my boring pop music diet, but what can I say? I like what I like. And I do like mainstream pop. And some k-pop. I guess that was inevitable with my love of K-dramas.

4. Netflix

I’m not sure this qualifies as a hobby, but I do spend a fair amount of my free time on Netflix. The Office and Vampire Diaries are my current go-tos. I like to have them on when I’m doing other stuff, you know?

5. Crocheting

I haven’t had much time to do this lately, but I do really enjoy it. Especially amigurumi (crocheting tiny little stuffed animals). They are so adorable!

6. Cello

I started playing the cello when I was 8, and although I don’t get much time to play lately, I still love it. Hopefully I’ll get some time to play it during the holidays.

7. Collecting things

Does this count? Because I am not a serious collector of any one thing, just a laid back collector of several things. Like, green purses. And little piggie figurines. And jackets. So yeah, I’m a moderate level pack rat. But not a serious one.

8. Journaling

This is low down on this list, because I am an incredibly inconsistent journaler. I enjoy it, but I have a hard time doing it regularly, lol.

9. Singing

Again, not sure if this counts or not. I’ve sang at church before, but not super regularly. Mainly it’s just something I do a lot at home. I like to harass my family members with songs from musicals. 😀

10. Going on drives

Ok, I know this isn’t really hobby-ish. But what can I say? My free time is very limited, okay? And the majority of it is spent on book-related things, lol.

Whew, that was harder than the bookish ones are, lol. I should really balance my time a little better….what are you guys’ favorite non-bookish hobbies?

Hope you are having a great day and get some time to enjoy some of your favorite hobbies soon!

    1. Yes, I love princess and the frog😁. My amigurumi isn’t nearly as polished as that picture, but even the misshapen ones are adorable, lol. I made my mother a crazy eyed turkey a couple of years ago, and it sits on the bookshelf in November😂
